Abstract

The essay examines the intertextual relations between two Spanish dramas composed between the end of the 16th and the beginning of the 17th century: the anonymous Los carboneros de Francia, that belongs to the Gondomar’s collection, and Los caballeros nuevos y carboneros de Tracia, attributed to Antonio Mira de Amescua. The two texts show not only a comparable plot development, but also significant lexical and syntactic correspondences, which could indicate a direct contact between them. The analysis has been realized considering also the supposed source of both dramas, Antonio de Torquemada’s Colloquio de la vida pastoril (1553).
