Abstract

The study proposes a first approach to the meta-communicative reflection that is traced in the dialogues of the Spanish Renaissance, and that forms a wide sample of the functioning of communication between its interlocutors. In this conceptual framework, the notion of ficción conversacionalconnects with the cultural universe of the time and with the ideal that embodies the ‘formal and familiar’ orality of buena conversación. By configuring a conversation model very different from the one that corresponds to our cultural parameters today, this ideal predetermines the construction of orality that some dialogues pretend to imitate, also as an evaluation criterion prior to the analysis of its linguistic manifestation and its conceptual profile.
