Abstract

This article offers an overview of the history of international stagings of Lope de Vega’s play Fuente Ovejuna since the beginning of the twentieth century. The relationship between «creation» and «representation» in this work offers a reflection on the «mobile» condition of a play as a tool that lends itself over time and contexts to convey different messages for different audiences.
