Abstract
The paper starts by documentation retained in the Residencia de Estudiantes (Madrid) with news about Angel Valbuena Prat’s stays in Puerto Rico and in Cambridge. This paper highlights those collaborations (publications, courses, activities) of Valbuena that related to the Centro de Estudios Históricos. These notes realize the attempt of Valbuena with CEH and Menéndez Pidal school, over a period of time from 1927 to early 30's, when the professor of literature is isolated in Cambridge to write his Historia de la literatura española.
