Abstract

The article aims to reason about the review written by Emilia Pardo Bazán on the occasion of the publication of the novel Tristana (1892) by Benito Pérez Galdós. Leaving aside the possible biographical implications, the analysis focuses on the literary reasons and, in particular, it tries to show how the feminist perspective could have affected the writer during her reading.
