Góngora and Berni’s “burlesco stile”: some critical notes

Abstract

The article begins with a commentary on some verses by Luis de Góngora in which the poet quotes a specific passage from the work of Francesco Berni and identifies himself with his burlesque style. Then it reflects on the imitative and intertextual relationship that Góngora maintains with Italian burlesque poetry in some passages of his jocular repertoire.
