Abstract

Mnemosyne: Julio Llamazares' Memory Machine Between Pictures and Memories.

The work focuses on the relationship existing between photography and autobiographical writing in XXth century Spanish literature. The study considers certain texts published since the eigthies, where the photos are not actually shown, but told and described with different levels of accuracy. The attention is focused on the analysis of Escenas de cine mudo by Julio Llamazares, a text that allows to highlight the narrative techniques of the récit d’enfance and their importance in the construction of an historical perpective alternative rather than the official one.
