Abstract
This article studies the manifestations of desire that authors of different periods attributed to the character of Hero. In the original sources, the priestess of Venus doesn’t have too many qualms about declaring her love to Leandro. In the Middle Ages the girl shows disdain for him and in some cases will not even speak to him. In the Renaissance gets the decision to express the desire in his first meeting with Leandro.
