Abstract
From the cross-checking of variants present in the episode of the seduction of the fisherwoman by Don Juan Tenorio in the text of Tan largo me lo fiais, printed under Calderón’s name, and the text printed under Tirso de Molina’s name with the title El Burlador de Sevilla, we establish the textual priority of Tan largo me lo fiais, that offers a text that is complete and without transmission errors. The analysis and cross-checks of topics, lexic, and Greco-Latin references prove that Tan largo me lo fiais is the more complete and trustworthy text, upon which any critical edition of the comedy has to be made.
