Abstract
Baltasar de Morales wrote the Diálogo de las guerras de Orán as propaganda in support of the Fernández de Córdoba family. He mixed military events of the Count of Alcaudete in Africa with references to the family’s medieval past and fictional elements. And with this fiction he backed up the supposed truth of his discourse.
