Abstract

The present work, based on the Phonetics and Phonology description
of the castilian in its diachronic perspective and the analysis of the  metrical traits of the texts, has the aim of determine the characterization of the author´s original language of the libro de miseria de omne. In  order to achieve this objective, this study starts from a historical-literary description in order to understand the historical events, the literary features and also the ideology of a society plunged into a spiritual and material crisis. it is expected, as the main objective, to reach the proper dating of one of the medieval spanish relevant works concerning the contempt of the world’s illness
